UK CBT Co-Founders Lecture at NYUAD Blockchain Program in Dubai
A two-day conference held in Dubai, hosted by New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), featured Nikhil Vadgama and Paolo Tasca, co-founders of the UK CBT, as key lecturers. This event focused on providing executives and decision-makers with comprehensive insights into blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
The Conference, called “Crypto for Business Leaders, was co-organised with Ripple and startAD, NYUAD’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub.
The conference was structured to cover foundational aspects of blockchain and cryptocurrencies on the first day, followed by advanced topics like Blockchain 2.0, programmable money, NFTs, and central bank digital currencies on the second. The program aimed to equip attendees with a solid understanding of the technology's principles, emerging trends, and real-world applications across various industries.
Vadgama and Tasca contributed to the discussions on both days. Their sessions explored the advantages and disadvantages of different cryptocurrencies, factors influencing their adoption and utility, and the comparison between private and public blockchains. They also discussed regulatory frameworks within the UAE, GCC, and globally, highlighting the impact of legal considerations on blockchain technology's adoption.
The conference emphasised interactive learning, with demonstrations and audience participation encouraged during sessions on cryptographic techniques and blockchain application development. This approach allowed attendees to engage directly with the technology and gain practical insights.
